Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of our website, services, and the purchase of products from Thanda Bantu Online (Pty) Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). By placing an order or accessing our website, you agree to these Terms.

2. Orders & Contract of Sale

  • Orders are only confirmed once full payment has been received and cleared.

  • Prices are subject to change without notice, but confirmed orders will not be affected.

  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order in cases of suspected fraud, stock unavailability, or error.

3. Payment Policy

  • Accepted Methods: Debit/credit cards, EFT, trusted online payment gateways, and approved credit providers.

  • Cash Deposits: Customers choosing direct cash deposits at banks will be liable for additional bank fees. These must be settled before delivery/collection.

  • Payment Clearance: Orders will only be released once full payment has been received and cleared in our account.

  • Currency: All transactions are processed in South African Rand (ZAR).

4. Delivery & Self-Collection Policy

a) Delivery by Our In-House Team

  • Deliveries are carried out by our trained in-house delivery staff within designated service areas.

  • Delivery fees are based on distance and size of order, and will be communicated before confirmation.

  • Delivery dates are scheduled in advance; delays may occur but do not automatically entitle cancellation unless unreasonable.

  • Our team can deliver to the room of your choice, provided access is suitable.

b) Delivery by Third-Party Couriers

  • For areas outside our in-house delivery range, or at our discretion, we may appoint trusted third-party courier services of our choosing.

  • Courier delivery fees are based on parcel size, weight, and destination. These will be confirmed prior to dispatch.

  • Courier deliveries are to the ground floor only, unless otherwise specified. Customers are responsible for moving items inside.

  • Once goods are handed over to the courier, risk passes to the customer, and delivery will be subject to the courier’s terms and conditions.

c) Self-Collection

  • Customers may collect orders from our warehouse/showroom by appointment only.

  • At least 24 hours’ notice is required to prepare your order.

  • Payment on collection is strictly card only (no cash).

  • Customers must provide their order confirmation and ID.

  • Responsibility for safe transport rests with the customer after collection.

5. Storage Fee Policy

  • Orders must be collected or delivered within 7 working days of notification that they are ready.

  • If not collected/delivered within this timeframe, a daily storage fee will be charged at R25/day.

  • Goods not collected within 30 days may be considered abandoned. Thanda Bantu Online (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to resell such goods to recover costs, with no refund due to the original buyer.

6. Returns & Refunds Policy

  • Returns are accepted within 7 days of receipt if goods are defective, damaged, or not as described.

  • Change-of-mind returns may be accepted at our discretion, subject to a restocking fee.

  • Custom-made or special-order products are non-refundable, unless defective.

  • Refunds will be processed within 14 working days via the original payment method.

7. Warranty Policy

  • Products carry the standard manufacturer’s warranty, where applicable.

  • Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, unauthorised repair, or normal wear and tear.

8. Product Colours Disclaimer

  • Please note that the colours of products displayed on our website may vary from the actual product. This is due to differences in device settings, screen resolutions, and lighting conditions. While we make every effort to display colours as accurately as possible, we cannot guarantee an exact match between the product you see online and the product you receive.

9. Privacy & POPIA Compliance

  • We comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

  • Personal information collected will be used only for order fulfilment, delivery, customer communication, and legal compliance.

  • We do not sell personal information to third parties.

  • Reasonable security measures are in place to protect your data.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • To the extent permitted by law, Thanda Bantu Online (Pty) Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

  • Our maximum liability is limited to the purchase price of the product.

11. Intellectual Property

  • All website content, including logos, product descriptions, images, and designs, remains the property of Thanda Bantu Online (Pty) Ltd.

  • No content may be copied, distributed, or reproduced without prior written consent.

12. Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

  • Any disputes shall be resolved by a court of competent jurisdiction in South Africa.

13. Amendments

  • Thanda Bantu Online (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.

  • Updates will be posted on our website and take effect immediately upon publication.
