Returns/Refund Policy

Effective Date: 29 September 2025

At Thanda Bantu Online (Pty) Ltd, we value your satisfaction and comply with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA). This policy explains when and how returns, exchanges, and refunds are processed.

1. General Conditions for Returns

  • Returns must be requested within 7 days of delivery or collection.

  • Returned goods must be unused, undamaged, and in their original packaging (where applicable).

  • Proof of purchase (invoice or receipt) is required.

  • Refunds are subject to inspection and approval by our team.

2. Returns Due to Defects or Damages

  • If your item is defective, damaged, or not as described, you may return it within 7 days at no cost to you.

  • We will inspect the item and, depending on the outcome, offer one of the following:

    • A repair (if possible).

    • A replacement of the same or similar product.

    • A full refund.

  • Defects caused by misuse, neglect, improper assembly, or normal wear and tear are not covered.

3. Change of Mind / Discretionary Returns

  • If you change your mind about your purchase, returns may be accepted at our discretion.

  • In such cases:

    • A restocking fee of up to 15% may apply.

    • Return delivery or courier costs are the customer’s responsibility.

  • Items must be in perfect resale condition.

4.Product Colours Disclaimer

  • Please note that the colours of products displayed on our website may vary from the actual product. This is due to differences in device settings, screen resolutions, and lighting conditions. While we make every effort to display colours as accurately as possible, we cannot guarantee an exact match between the product you see online and the product you receive.

5. Custom or Special Orders

  • Custom-made, personalized, or special-order items are non-refundable, unless defective or not as per agreed specifications.

6. Refund Processing

  • Once your return has been received and approved, refunds will be processed within 14 working days.

  • Refunds will be issued via the original payment method only.

  • If payment was made via EFT or direct deposit, please provide banking details for the refund.

7. Exchanges

  • Exchanges are subject to product availability.

  • If the desired item is unavailable, a refund or credit note will be offered instead.

8. Collection of Returns

  • For defective or damaged items, we will arrange collection at no charge.

  • For discretionary returns (change of mind), customers must arrange and pay for delivery or courier back to our warehouse.

9. Warranties

  • All items carry the manufacturer’s standard warranty (if applicable).

  • Warranty claims must be supported by proof of purchase.

  • Warranties do not cover: misuse, neglect, unauthorized repairs, or normal wear and tear.

10. Exclusions

The following cannot be returned or refunded:

  • Used or assembled furniture (unless defective).

  • Clearance, sale, or “as is” items.

  • Custom, made-to-order, or personalized items (unless defective).
